Jake og Elroy Blues er på en mission fra Gud. De skal samle 5000 dollars for at redde deres barndoms kirke. For at skaffe pengene samler de deres gamle bluesband og tager på turne. Samtidig prøver Jakes ex at myrde ham, og politiet vil også gerne snakke med dem. Men den slags er der ikke tid til, når man er hvid uden på og fuld af sort blues inden i.
